a big clean up to do. a fire broke out at daly city's skyline elementary school on christian avenue. this happened about 11:30 last night. just look at the pictures. the portable classroom went up in flames. the damage includes the building itself, everything inside, books, chairs, audio- visual equipment. took firefighters about 15 minutes to put it out. authorities don't know what started the fire but it apparently started outside of the portable building. no word of any injuries and students by the way return to school on august 17th. >>> meantime firefighters say an overnight house fire in san francisco caused about $350,000 damage. this fire started just before 2:30 this morning at a home on melrose avenue. the flames then spread to a second house. took firefighters about 20 minutes to contain that one alarm fire. no injuries have been reported. authorities think the fire started in the living room of the first house, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation. >>> the book written by kidnap victim jaycee dugard does not go on sale for another day but it is already

at a sleepover allie rasmus is live with more, including the soda that's becoming a big part of the investigation. >> reporter: we're live in santa rosa. this agency is investigating the 14-year-old's death. now, the four girls at the sleepover, including the victim, said they passed around a soda that taste strange. the sheriff's office determined there was an unknown substance to it. the teens were at a sleepover at a home and all four got sick during the night. they started throwing up after they drank the soda. at first, the parents thought it was food poisoning, but then on sunday, one of them would not wake up. they called paramedics. and they determined she died. the crime investigations unit are looking into the death. a cause of death for that 14- year-old girl has not been determined yet. we've put in requests with sherr 6 investigators to find out -- sherr 6 investigators to find out where they are with the -- with the investigation. back to you. >> thank you. >>> pleasant hill police say they have two men in custody who may have used clone debit cards to rob bay area atms. officers fo

. big question to get answered is related to last weeks shooting. it happened close to each other about less than a mile apart. this happened around midnight. victim was taken to the hospital and he was alive at the time but they haven't received an update on his confident. they don't know whether it was a random shooting but it appears they've got a trend. this is the third shooting since may. one that happened last week that man was killed. the victim had an extensive criminal record and police don't think the shooting was random. back in may the victim survived. he told police that the group of men he encountered flashed gang signs before they shot him. take a look at the scene. it's this part of the trail is surrounded by homes. it happened in a neighborhood that is bordered by houses making it all the more dangerous. park police are investigating the shooting. >>> investigators are still trying to figure out what killed a 14-year-old santa rosa girl. she was found dead on her bedroom floor. she was having a sleepover with three other girls. they mixed something with so definitive a

of mortgage fraud, prosecutors think there's valuable evidence on her laptop so the big question this morning is, her laptop's encrypted. should the courts force the accused to give up their passwords if doing so would prove them to be guilty? this seems like a violation of the fifth amendment. you can't be forced to testify against yourself. the counterargument is if you hide evidence in a safe you have to give up the key. the courts have said that. is the fact that the password is in your head, does that change things? it's a precedent we'll be looking at as it progresses. apple is suing a company called get jar which sells apps for smart phones in its app store. that's the fight. apple says only it can call its store an app store. get jar points out it's been selling apps longer and it's going to keep using the term. >> and finally, talk about an hd ipad that would be the next ipad that comes out. could be introduced as soon as two months from now. the special retina display. the big question is what are they going to call it? the ipad hd if it has hd, ipad 2 plus, or go with ipad 3. and k
